Does Obama want to Redistribute Wealth or Reorganize the Government

No one who is even a political novice can avoid the fact that most of Barry Obama's political views were shaped by Socialism and not Capitalism. If you listen here you might actually catch a glimse at what he said while serving as a state senator.

Paraphrasing, "one of the great failures of the equal rights movements was the inability to redistribute the wreath in this country"

America The Abused

America is an abused woman. At least the psyche of her is. The past 16 years have been hard on her. Her man, (The President) hasn't treated her very well.

It all started in 1992. America chose to hitch her wagon to Bill Clinton. He was a smooth talker and made her feel good about herself. He felt her pain and promised the world. Things went well for a while, but then the cracks started to show. There were tricky land deals and her friends were telling her that he was getting around.

Turns out the rumors were true. The President couldn't keep it in his pants and he drug America through some dark days. The lying and parsing of words continued to the point where she almost divorced him (Impeachment). Eventually she took him back and she didn't part ways with him until the pre - appointed time.

A new day dawned in 2001. America's new man was coming to town and he was going to save her from the lousy guy who cheated on her. George Bush was a Christian and could be trusted with her heart and to keep the financial house in order.

Then 9/11 happened. This terrible entity attacked her and America was left realing. For a time George picked up the pieces, held her closely and did his best to make her feel safe. He has kept her safe, the one thing throughout her relationship with him he has successfully managed to do.

But George broke his promises just like Bill did. He cut her taxes, but lacked the discipline to stop the spending. He bought, and bought, and tried to make her feel better by buying her things. What she didn't realize was that these gifts were bought with her money, not his. He too had abused her.

Once again she is looking for a new man. If things stay as they are she will pick the guy who tells her what she wants to hear. She doesn't know much about him and has heard he may have run with a less than desirable crowd in the past.

She doesn't mind that though. All she knows is that he has told her he will sweep her off her feet and fix all her problems. She's desperate to run to his arms because of the way she has been abused by her last two relationships. His promises, as empty as they may be will make her feel better, at least for awhile.

Then the terrible realization will set in. It will happen all over again.

Judgment

Throughout the presidential campaign, Barack Obama has frequently said one of his primary qualities that qualify him to be President is his good judgment. A closer look at his past choices will prove this to be patently false.

Ask yourself, "What are three of the most important aspects of my life?" You might answer your family, home, career, education, or religion. I would like to focus on three of these and discuss how Barack Obama's judgment impacted each.

First, is his choice of religion, specifically the church he attended for the last 20 years. We all know the tale of Reverend Wright who in multiple sermons over the years has said such things as blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America." On the Sunday after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, Mr. Wright said the attacks were a result of violent American policies. Four years later he wrote that the attacks had proved that "people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just 'disappeared' as the Great White West went on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns."

This is a man close to Obama. How close? Close enough that Rev. Wright married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope."

Obama has denounced the words of Wright as they have come to the forefront. Does anyone believe he had not heard such rhetoric from Wright before? If he felt so strongly about what was being said, why did he not leave sooner? It is a question of judgment.

Let's move on to the purchase of Obama's home. ABC News reported on January 10, 2008 "In sharp contrast to his tough talk about ethics reform in government, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., approached a well-known Illinois political fixer under active federal investigation, Antoin "Tony" Rezko, for "advice" as he sought to find a way to buy a house shortly after being elected to the United States Senate.

The parcel included an adjacent lot which Obama told the Chicago Tribune he could not afford because "it was already a stretch to buy the house."

On the same day Obama closed on his house, Rezko's wife bought the adjacent empty lot, meeting the condition of the seller who wanted to sell both properties at the same time.

Rezko had been widely reported to be under investigation by the U.S. attorney and the FBI at the time Obama contacted him and has since been indicted on corruption charges by a federal grand jury in a case that prosecutors say involves bribes, kickbacks and "efforts to illegally obtain millions of dollars."

This week, a federal judge in Chicago ordered the Rezko trial to begin Feb. 25.

Obama maintains his relationship with Rezko was "above board and legal" but has admitted bad judgment, calling his decision to involve Rezko "a bone-headed mistake."

Rezko's behind-the-scenes connection in the Obama house deal became public as Rezko revealed personal financial details as he sought to post bail.

While Rezko's wife paid the full asking price for the land, Obama paid $300,000 under the asking price for the house. The house sold for $1,650,000 and the price Rezko's wife paid for the land was $625,000." On June 4, 2008 a jury
found Rezko guilty of 16 of 24 felony counts, including fraud, money laundering and joining a bribery conspiracy. Again, I am left to question his judgment.

Finally let's discuss the start of Senator Obama's Political Career. Specifically, I'd like to discuss William Ayers and his involvement.

Ayers, spent 10 years as a fugitive in the 1970s when he was part of the "Weather Underground," an anti-Vietnam War group that protested U.S. policies by bombing the Pentagon, U.S. Capitol and a string of other government buildings. The organization was labeled by the FBI as a "domestic terrorist group." Ayers has said, "I don't regret setting bombs," and "I feel we didn't do enough,"

According to the Chicago Sun Times, "In the mid-1990s, Ayers hosted a meet-and-greet at his house to introduce Obama to his neighbors during his first run for the Illinois Senate. In 2001, Ayers contributed $200 to Obama's campaign. Ayers also served alongside Obama between December 1999 and December 2002 on the board of the not-for-profit Woods Fund of Chicago. That board met four times a year, and members would see each other at occasional dinners the group hosted."

"In addition, Ayers and Obama interacted occasionally in their roles with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a not-for-profit group charged with spending tens of millions of dollars it obtained through its affiliation with a school-improvement foundation created by late Ambassador Walter H. Annenberg. Obama chaired the Chicago Annenberg Challenge's board of directors. Ayers served on the Chicago School Reform Collaborative, which made recommendations to the board on which organizations should get grants. The groups worked on school-reform efforts between 1995 and 2000."

In a debate with Hillary Clinton, before the depth of his relationship with Ayers came to light, Obama said Ayers is "a guy who lives in my neighborhood." Clearly their relationship is much more than that.

Three of the most important things in anyone’s life, Religion, Home, Career

Barack Obama chose to sit in the pew of an anti-American, hate mongering bigot.

Barack Obama chose to buy his home with the help of a now convicted felon who committed fraud, and engaged in bribery.

Barack Obama chose to launch his political career in the home of an admitted terrorist.

These are his choices, his judgment.

Obama Ayers Dirty Laundry

During the 1960's few people were so active in protesting the Vietnam War as was William Ayers. Later in life not only was he unrepentant about bombing homes where children were sleeping, but in 2001 he lamented that he hadn't done more for the cause. He is now a supporter of Barack Obama and their relationship has since been down played by the media and by Barack Obama's handlers.

This Could Have Been Avoided.....

Thanks, Barney Frank. Thanks, Chuck Schumer. This is what happens when you "F' the citizens of this country in the you know what. This is what happens when Socialists run the government. I can't say anything else. Watch the video.

40 Days to Determine 40 years

There is no question that this election will change the course we are on as a nation. Will we take the road proposed by Senator McCain or that laid out by Senator Obama? There are exactly 40 days left until we head to the polls. The next 40 days will likely determine the course of the next 20, 30, or even 40 years. History tells us this is true.

America has faced uncertain and difficult times such as this before, especially in the past century. Once we were led out of this struggle by the father of modern liberalism (FDR), and once by the father of modern conservatism (Reagan). The parallels to what we face today cannot be ignored.

When FDR took office we were in the worst economic conditions this country has ever faced. Millions were hungry, out of work, and struggling to survive. The world was a dangerous place. During his presidency we would be drawn into World War II in both the Pacific and Atlantic theatres.

When Reagan took office, we were headed down a similar road. Inflation was out of control, energy shortages, and unemployment rising. We were engaged in a different kind of war, this time with the Soviet Union. The Cold War raged and the world was a dangerous place again with the posibility of nuclear war.

We are standing at the edge of the cliff again. The economy is in real trouble. Gas prices continue to rise. Home values continue to fall. Congress is considering a $700billion bailout that our grandchildren will be paying for 40 years from now. We are currently engaged in two wars and the threat of terrorism is a very real aspect of our daily lives.

My faith in America is strong. We have weathered tougher times and come through it better and stronger than ever. No matter who we select as the President, America's strength is in the character and will of its people.

As we make the choice for President in 40 days, the choice is clear. Will we follow the path of greater government involvement advocated by liberalism or follow the tenants of less government pushed by conservatism?

Both paths have worked in the past when managed properly as by FDR and Reagan. Both have also failed miserably as demonstrated by President Carter and President George W. Bush. It's up to you and I to decide who is most likely to succeed. May we be wise in our choice.

To Bailout or Not to Bailout, that is the Question

Whether it is nobler to bailout a few companies who have made mistakes or to place a 700 Billion dollar tax burden on the shoulders of the American people, that is the question.
One of the things that makes America great is the opportunity to succeed without limitation and the opportunity to fail beyond measure. No one wants their child to burn their hand on the stove, but that is part of growing up. No one will enjoy the experience of the burn and the blister that accompanies the mistake, but everyone who has burnt their hand on a stove learned a valuable lesson, and that is: There are consequences for your actions.
Lets examine Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Here are two companies who were influenced by politicians to allow for increased home ownership through relaxed guidelines in exchange for favorable rates from federal government to make home loans. Then, when bad loans started popping up as foreclosures around the country the executives had the accountants juice the books in order trigger executive payouts. Company executives certainly need to be bailed out, but in my mind I keep seeing scenarios where their bail out has something to do with Dog the Bounty Hunter. When institutions like Fannie and Freddie make mistakes share holders will simply sell off their stock and be done with it. However, you are now telling that share holder to put their money back on the table in the form of a bailout. If the Feds want to put an infusion of 700 billion into these companies okay, but when the loans come to maturity and the companies pay back the money to the government I want the interest paid on those loans to come to the American people in the form of a tax rebate for having paid increased taxes during that time period. If the government wants to make loans with my money fine, but at least pay me my dividend.
If certain companies go under then they go under, and good companies with strong financials will come and buy up their assets and the market will redistribute wealth through strong economic principals. Sometimes even companies need to burn their hand on the financial stove of America in order to learn.

Change might just make CENTS

In an effort to save millions of pension plans around the country the Federal Government is scheduled to loan over 80 Billion dollars to AIG in an exchange for 80% control in the company. This also comes on the heals of investment giant Lehman Brothers who have had their doors open since 1850 filing for bankruptcy protection and Merrill Lynch announcing they will be acquired by Bank of America. With trying times like these some are arguing for change in Washington. I agree there has to be change in order to fix some of these problems that we are facing. The question though is this: Do you want change that makes sense, or just leaves you with cents.

The punching bag over the past few years has been big oil companies making profits at the pump. While I hate paying extra to fill up as much as the next guy I hate even more the idea of choking these companies with even heavier tax burdens. Follow the logic with me if you will. Of the top 10 Global 500 list of companies 5 of them are oil companies. Those 5 companies employ a combined 406,335 people according to the 2008 report. US corporate tax burdens are nearly 50% and, we are second only to Japan for the highest tax burden placed on corporations. If we raise taxes on corporations one of two things I predict will happen:

  1. We will see more outsourcing to other nations of our job. The companies have responsibilities to their share holders not to their country.

  2. We will see increased cost at the pump and around the country on everything as oil companies try to make up their tax losses by increasing their profits.

Look at Ireland who used to rank amongst the top in terms of taxes on corporations and has since dropped their tax burden down around 15% causing an economic boom throughout their country.

On the table now is also the idea of the Rich being taxed in order to pay for those who are less fortunate financially. Recently Senator Barack Obama appeared on the Bill O’Reilly show to talk about his candidacy. O’Reilly began to question his tax plan and called it a free lunch for the poor. O’Reilly said, “ The free lunch is that you’re taking the wealthy in America and the big earners, OK, you’re taking money way from them and you’re giving it to people who don’t. That’s called income redistribution. It’s a socialist tenant. Come on you know that. You went to Harvard.” Obama responded, “Teddy Roosevelt supported a progressive income tax.” Notice he didn’t deny the fact that his policy was socialistic in nature, but simply said he wasn’t the first to come up with it. Not suprising from a guy who hasn't been able to come up with many orginal ideas since his campaign began.

In closing consider the following statistic:

According to the IRS 86% of ALL federal income tax are paid by the top 25% of income earners. Between income redistribution and government control of assets some might be concerned which type of change we will be getting in the future and if will make sense, or cents for Americans.

Senator Obama Attempts to Bury Barry!

Obama delivered his remarks at the Colorado State Fair on a teleprompter.
(CNN) — It appears Barack Obama's teleprompter is hitting the campaign trail.

The Democratic presidential nominee has never tried to hide the fact he delivers speeches off the device, though normally he doesn't use one at standard campaign rallies and town hall events.

But the Illinois senator used a teleprompter at both his Colorado events Monday — making for a particularly peculiar scene in Pueblo, where the prompter was set up in the middle of what is normally a rodeo ring.

Source: CNN

Did I not give you the low down on this last week? Senator Obama vs. Barry. It appears the Senator is doing all he can to limit his gaffes, but all this does is play to the notion of him being an empty suit, void of original thought.

Did Pontius Pilate Wear Lipstick?

This is silly season if you didn't know already. The Democrat Party is becoming more and more desperate every day. It is a very real possibility that "The One" may not be elected after all,
thanks in large part to the enthusiasm drummed up by Governor Palin.
In what has to be one of the most foolish comparisons of all time, two different Democrats, (One talking head - Donna Brazile, and one elected official - Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn) have stated, "Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus. Pontius Pilate was a governor."

Hello....what are you trying to say? Let me see... Obama = Jesus, Palin = Pilate.

It would seem to me that Obama = Pilate as the two of them seem to share a certain character flaw.
Pilate found no fault with Jesus; washed his hands of the situation and allowed the Savior of mankind to be crucified.
Barack Obama sat in the Illinois State Senate for 8 years. In that time he voted “present,” nearly 130 times . A look at Illinois records shows at least 36 times when Mr. Obama was either the only state senator to vote present or was part of a group of six or fewer to vote that way. Kind of seems like he was washing his hands of these difficult decisions.

Where were you?

7 years ago lying in bed in Phoenix Arizona the phone rang. My brother and I were sharing an appartment with a few other roomates, but it was early and if anyone was going to answer the phone it would have been the two of us. After the 3rd call in a row we realized something wasn't right, but I was moving in a week and had spent a late night with my friends the night before on my last day of work. I turned to my brother and said, "If you want to know whats so important then your getting up" As he slumbered out of bed I tried to go back to sleep only to hear a moment later, "What? What? Slow down! Okay, I'm turning on the news right now" Instantly I was awake. Just as I rolled over in bed the news turns on and we see coming from the right of our screen the 2nd plane hit the tower and burst into flames. The smoke and debris filling the air almost blocking out the shot. As the day wore on nobody believed what they were seeing. I can't see a time when the feelings of shock and anger that I had that day will not be palpable in my mind. That is where I was on 9/11 but, Where were you?

Oh Teleprompter, Where Art Thou?

Lets be honest. The "lipstick" issue has been a distraction and an effective one at that for the McCain campaign. Most people would say Senator Obama was not referring to Governor Palin, but simply using a phrase to get across his idea that he is the one who represents change. Do I think it was intended to be sexist? No. Do I think it was intended to belittle her? No. Do I think there are two Obama's? Yes.
You ask, "whatever do you mean?" When Obama stands in front of a teleprompter there are few his equal. He is polished, clear, and can hold an audience with ease. It is only when the teleprompter is removed that Obama's doppleganger, "Barry" shows up. You know the one I'm referring to. The one who says, "Um", "Ah", and "hmm" before getting out a coherent statement. The one who struggled to come up with an answer for when life began, before finally settling on it being, "above his pay grade", to answer such a question. The one who has been dropping his "g's" at the end of his words of late. The one who has been to "57 states" and been to see the "Nittally Lions" of Penn State. Alright, enough already.
My point in all of this is that Senator Obama is merely a mouthpiece. He is a sponge who has soaked up the ideas of Reverend Wright, William Ayers, and all of the campaign professionals he has around him. When he doesn't have the teleprompter in front of him, his true self is revealed. "Senator Obama" would never have made the comment about Governor Palin, but "Barry" just couldn't help himself.

Independent Women's Vote

When Sarah Palin was picked to be the VP nominee for the Republican Party, the whole world of feminism was turned upside down. There were many who thought that the pick was to go after the women who voted for Hillary. I agree with the Democratic operatives who suggest that the majority of the women voters who supported Hillary were not going to be swayed by Palin's choice for VP. Many of these women would find Palin's stance on many of the issues wrong headed and could never bring themselves to pull the Republican lever. I do believe that a small number will vote for Palin, but a more discomfort for the Democrats will come from the number of Hillary supporters who will just stay home. But, I believe the real level of support from women will come from a surprising source. If you remember a few weeks ago, at the Ric Warren forum, Obama, to some being nuanced, to others being confused, when asked about when a fetus should have rights, he responded, "it was above his pay grade." Add to this House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's mis-representation of the Catholic Church's stance on when life begins in her apperance on Meet the Press. She received very real rebukes from a host of Catholic Bishops and a number of Cardinals. Now add in Joe Biden's apperance on Meet the Press on Sunday past, and the rebuke already by Catholic Bishops from that apperance. What you have with these three things, I believe, is a Tsunami that will sweep Mc Cain and Palin to the White House in November. No, the Hillary voters are not going to make the difference, it will be the independent Catholic women who profoundly disagree with the three leading Democrats who have mis-stated the Catholic Church's position on life. They clearly understand the Democratic position is not the moral position that they are in sync with in their lives and are going to make the difference in this election. The Democratic Party has not recognized their precarious postion and it will be their downfall in November as Mc Cain and Palin will take the White House and will help to stem the losses in Congressional and Senate races.

Stand and Deliver

Joe Biden is at it again. Apparently the only thing happens more than Bill Clinton holding open interviews for new interns is Joe Biden saying things that get him into hot water. During a speech Senator Biden decided to honor one of the local state politicans by asking him to stand. It wasn't until the members of the audience started screaming, "he is in a wheelchair" did he figure out he didn't have the power to heal. Better luck next time Joe, maybe you should have the conversation with the Archbishop after all.

Lipstick On a Pig

Whether Barack Obama meant to insult Sarah Palin or was just using the same tired rhetoric that has a lot of appeal but no real substance he may have inadvertently upset many female voters. Addressing a crowd in Virginia Obama used the term "lipstick on a pig" with regards to John McCain's policies for change. This coming on the heals of Sarah Palin's well received performance at the RNC where she said what will become a joke in hockey arenas for years to come, "the only difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom is the lipstick" So the question becomes, Did he mean to insult Sarah and throw a jab at Ted Nugent's new dream girl, or Were those in the Obama camp simply too blind to see the negative impact of a poorly timed comment on Pigs and lip stick. Whichever the case may be it doesn't bode well for the Freshman Senator from Illinois.

Woman in Action

You know you have made it when they make an action figure out of you. I hope it comes with an accessory weapon package. You know, assault rifle, Moose gun, etc.
I would love to see the Joe Biden doll complete with hair plugs!
